I often get asked if I really am a Harvard graduate, and have to profess that the answer is yes. The name "Harvard Girl" is something I picked up along the way... It all started with my husband who teased me by calling me his Harvard girl whenever he needed a report or a letter or an email edited--or "Heidi-ized," as he called it. And because of his encouragement I have truly found the work I love and was meant to do.

When I graduated Harvard in the field of music, I spent a number of years in NYC performing and teaching, but my means of reliable income was editing. It was a relatively short step from there to a decade of corporate training and facilitation in subjects such as business writing, customer service and PowerPoint. Finally, though, it was when my husband and I decided to take the plunge into writing and publishing that I found my true niche. Writing, editing, designing and coaching has given me the perfect outlet for combining all my inherent abilities in the arts and my love of the written word. Music, training, coaching, writing--they all stem from the need to communicate and help others do the same.

My husband Randy and I currently live on the magnificent coast of Oregon in the lovely town of Bandon. Check it out at www.bandon.com.

I am here to help you achieve your goals. Give me a call and we'll talk!

Thanks,

Heidi

MORE TESTIMONIALS FROM SATISFIED CLIENTS

"Heidi opened the door to book publishing for me. My book of poems is a testament to her diligence, her wisdom, and her sensitivity. Specifically, her knowledge of how to craft and complete a book project is unparalleled. Heidi is thorough, fun and reasonable, and I highly recommend her for any project that requires a high degree of professionalism involving editing, proofreading, or any aspect of book publication."

(Bruce Grossman, psychologist and author of We Go On Living, Taos, NM, 2007)

"I never really thought I needed a professional editor until I heard Heidi at a writers' conference. When she said, “You cannot be your own editor because you're too close to the story,” I realized how true that was. It made sense. Then, at our initial consultation, she pointed out a descriptive phrase I'd used twice within the first few pages of the work. Through numerous re-writes, I had not noticed those repetitions—nor had the half dozen others who had read the work. I am impressed by both her skill and her integrity."

(Jim Boyle, author of Ni'il: The Awakening, Gold Beach, OR, 2006)
